The Bob Christian Alumnus/Alumna of the Year Award was established in 2006 as part of HKIS's 40th Anniversary celebration to honor the tremendous service and legacy of Bob Christian, the school's first Head of School.
As HKIS celebrates its 60th Anniversary, we are excited to expand this recognition program to honor a broader range of individuals who have made a meaningful and lasting impact on their communities and the world around them.
Each year, several recipients may be recognized across three award categories:
- Distinguished Alumni: Alumni who graduated 20 or more years ago
- Young Alumni: Alumni who graduated within the past 20 years
- Professional or Volunteer Service: Former faculty, staff, administrators, Board of Managers members, or other volunteers who have made exceptional contributions to the HKIS community
We invite you to nominate an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, achievement, or impact. Nominees should embody the HKIS mission and values, serve as positive role models, and have made meaningful contributions to HKIS, their local community, or society more broadly.

Nominations must be submitted by October 30, 2026.
Thank you for helping us recognize and celebrate members of the HKIS community who continue to make a difference.
