    HKIS World Languages Conference 2025
  • WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

    The goal of the HKIS 2025 Chinese Studies and World Languages Conference is to provide an effective platform for language teachers to learn and share new ideas and best practices. The theme of the 2025 Conference is "Pathways to Globalism". Participants will be able to get inspiration from internationally renowned experts as well as learn practical strategies from their regional peers through various breakout sessions. This year, the conference will include a Pre-Conference Workshop focused on building the capacity of program leadership as well as implementation of best practices to support language learning. The Main Conference will feature

    • Two renowned experts, Paul Sandrock and Jin Ying, to facilitate the opening and closing keynotes
    • Breakout sessions presented by language practitioners in the region
    • Break Chats: During the day, we will also collect topics of interest from participants for discussion facilitated by designated facilitators

    If you wish to be a Breakout session presenter or joint presenter, please submit your proposal by August 15, 2025. For more information, click on the 'Breakout Session'.
    In the meantime, please do not register until you receive the acceptance notification as a presenter or joint presenter by August 20, 2025.

  • Note: Full fee waiver will only be available if you have received the acceptance notification as a presenter from HKIS. Please proceed only if you have been accepted.

  • Note: Half fee waiver will only be available if you have received the acceptance notification as a joint presenter from HKIS. Please proceed only if you have been accepted.

    In order to secure your place at this workshop, please ensure you are ready to pay your registration fee when you have completed this form. You will receive an email with a secure payment link to PayDollar. Your registration fee must be paid by credit card (Visa or Mastercard).

    Your place will only be confirmed AFTER your registration payment is received.

    Should you wish to register more than one person, you will need to complete a separate online registration for each participant.
