  • WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

    Participants will explore how to create an engaging language curriculum for today’s learners and how intentional design and emerging AI tools will support meaningful, proficiency-driven world language instruction. They will examine backward-designed thematic units, authentic texts, and cognitively engaging learning experiences that build communicative skills across the interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes.

    • Day #1: Pre-Conference: Thursday, January 21, 2027 (HKIS Middle School Campus)

    • Day #2: Pre-Conference: Friday, January 22, 2027 (HKIS Lower Primary Campus)

    • Day #3: Main Conference: Saturday, January 23, 2027 (HKIS Lower Primary Campus)

       


    Time: 8:45 am - 4:15 pm

    Cost: 

    • Day #1: Pre-Conference (Thursday) - $1,300 HKD 
    • Day #2: Pre-Conference (Friday) - $1,300 HKD 
    • Day #3: Main Conference (Saturday) - $,1300 HKD 

    *100% Waiver for external individual presenter on Day #3 (only day 3) - contingent upon acceptance
     
    *50% Waiver for external joint presenter on Day #3 (only day 3) - contingent upon acceptance

Registrants will be notified and refunded in full for the registration fee paid should this occur. Please note that HKIS is not responsible for reimbursing personal expenses such as travel or accommodation.
