• Call for 2027 HKIS World Languages Conference Breakout Sessions Proposal

  • The success of the HKIS World Language Conference is built upon the shared wisdom and innovative practices in our field. We warmly invite you to share your expertise and best practices by leading a workshop at the 2027 HKIS World Language Conference. This year’s conference will take place over multiple days and include pre-conference workshops and a full conference program.

     

    • Event: 2027 HKIS World Language Conference
    • Theme: Empowering Language Learners: Where Brain Research, Curriculum Design, and AI Intersect
    • Dates: January 21–23, 2027 (Accepted proposals present only on Jan. 23rd)
    • Location: Hong Kong International School (HKIS), Repulse Bay Campus
    • Featured Consultants: Laura Terrill & Jiahang Li

    Why Present? As a session presenter, you will:

    • Share your experiences and expertise with fellow educators and receive valuable feedback
    • Contribute to and support the broader language education community
    • Receive a waiver of the main conference day registration fee

    Proposal & Registration Information

    • Proposal Submission Deadline: Friday, October 30, 2026
    • Notification of Acceptance: December 10, 2026
    • Conference Registration Window (for accepted presenters): December 10–December 18, 2026

    Registration Waiver Details

    • Selected single presenters will receive a full main conference registration waiver
    • Co-presenters (2) will each receive a 50% main conference registration waiver

    About the Conference: Our breakout sessions are designed by practitioners, for practitioners. This is a premier opportunity to showcase effective instructional strategies while exploring cutting-edge developments in language learning, including brain research, curriculum design, and artificial intelligence.
